How does live printing work at an event?

Live printing means the print shop comes to the party. We set up a working station at your venue, guests choose a garment and a design, and a printer makes it on the spot in around two minutes. For Phoenix, the gear rides the I-10 east from Fullerton the day before and is waiting when your load-in window opens.

Call to strike, in four steps

  1. You send the basics. Venue, date, hours and headcount. We look at floor space, power and the route into the room, then reply with an itemized quote inside 24 hours.
  2. We lock the artwork. Your files get set up for each print method and proofed. About a week before the event the art is final and the blanks are ordered.
  3. The truck rolls. It leaves Fullerton a day ahead. On the day, the crew puts the station together and runs test prints during your load-in window, before guests arrive.
  4. Guests print, we pack out. People pick a size and a design, see it made and wear it away. After the last shirt, the crew breaks everything down on the venue's timeline.

Those four steps don't change. What changes from room to room is the paperwork. Phoenix Convention Center wants a dock time and a drayage slot, and power there is ordered through the venue. A Scottsdale resort ballroom usually comes down to a service door, a freight lift and a circuit that isn't shared with catering. Outdoors, add shade and a power source, and between June and September we move outdoor printing to the morning or after sunset. A late date change is normally absorbable. Tell us about your event and we'll map the setup.
