Tempe has two kinds of crowd: ASU and the tech campuses around it. Student and alumni events want volume and a design that feels like theirs. Company launches want personalization and a station that looks good in photos. The lakeside venues cover both.
Timing matters more here than in most of the Valley. Campus calendars bunch events together, and spring training brings its own crowds to the East Valley in March. An outdoor lakeside date is comfortable from October through April. In summer we move the station under cover or after sunset.
